What’s so special about Aka-Fuji?
First, they are huge.
Most of the rainbow trout sold in Japan’s market are around 100-200g.
However, Aka-Fuji will take longer growth period(2~3 years) and they weigh up to more than 2kg.
Second, the environment of the farm is suitable for rainbow trout.
The mineral rich underground water from Mt.Fuji keeps the temperature around 5℃ throughout the year.
This makes a great environment for farming rainbow trouts, since they prefer low temperature.
With its high quality and great taste, Aka-Fuji is gaining a good reputation.
Last few years, they had limited supply and couldn’t offer to new customers. Today, they are able to produce more Aka-Fuji and are willing to find new customers.
